Choosing

With an incredible choice (about 340 institutions and 35000 courses) where to start?
Broadly there are 3 basic options:
  • To continue with a subject, or subjects you are currently studying
  • Choosing a vocational course leading to a profession such as physiotherapy, engineering, education and so on.
  • Begin something new. There is a wide range of courses in Higher Education that you can choose without having studied them before. Examples are Economics, Psychology and Law
Begin with a broad search so that you become fully aware of what's available (do you know what Anthropology is or what Liberal Arts involves?) Then you can narrow down, confident that you're not missing anything.
Think about where the course is going to take you and what your future plans are if you have any.  Many graduate opportunities do not require a particular subject for entry, leaving you able to study what you will enjoy and what you'll achieve well in.
